Bindi Irwin is a papa’s girl for sure. She has given a lot of tribute to late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin on “Dancing with the Stars” through her passionate dancing. Bindi Irwin’s Instagram profile bears proof.
November 15 is Steve Irwin Day, an honor to the one and only crocodile hunter. Bindi took to Instagram to express her feelings. She added a throwback photo of her with her dad.
“The greatest Dad on Earth. November 15. Steve Irwin Day. Remembering everything Dad worked so hard to achieve and continuing his legacy,” Bindi Irwin’s post reads, adding, “We miss you so much and are extremely proud to be carrying on in your footsteps.”
She also mentioned in her post, “Thank you for joining us in making a difference. Wearing our khakis and remember everything Dad did to change the world.”
Derek Hough also joined in to show his support for the dad of his dancing partner. He wrote, “It’s officially #steveirwinday in Australia,” adding, “He will always be remembered. #legend #wildlifewarrior @bindisueirwin #teamcrikey4life.”
Showing support for Steve Irwin Day did not end with social media messages. though. Bindi and Derek wore matching khaki outfits to show support for her father. Steve passed away in 2006 due to a freak attack. Bindi has been carrying the legacy of her father since. She works at the Australian Zoo and is closely connected to crocodile and other animals. She wanted to continue the work her father has done, and that is the reason she continued her journey as an animal activist.
Bindi is just 17 yet she is already rocking the stage of “Dancing with the Stars.” She has been marvelous with her performances and her personality. If she continues to be so, we may see her in the finale soon.
