Following the tremendous success of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” lead actor Ben Affleck allegedly wrote his own take on the Batman character. Reportedly, this may be used for a standalone movie.
There has been a lot of talk surrounding the possibility of a “Batman” standalone movie wherein “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” lead actor Ben Affleck may partake in. There is also an alleged script Affleck himself wrote that can be turned into a movie. Cool!
WME-IMG’s co-CEO Patrick Whitesell revealed, “He’s contracted to do at least ‘Justice League One’ and [‘Justice League] Two’, so at least three times wearing the cape. There’s a script that he’s written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option.”
Given that, Whitesell also revealed that the actor-director was already proposing to DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns about the possibility, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Affleck was already considered to direct, co-write, and star in the alleged “Batman” standalone movie even before “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” released on screen.
However, as attested by Affleck, he cannot focus on more than one project at a time. At the present, he is preoccupied with focusing on finishing “Live By Night,” his own adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s thriller franchise.
When asked about his future endeavors in film, Affleck said, “I tend to be one-movie-at-a-time guy. So, when I’m finished with this movie, I’ll then focus on my next movie and figure out what that will be.”
Will Ben Affleck take his shot at doing three roles in the alleged “Batman” standalone movie? Will DC Entertainment grant him a fourth shot at playing the caped hero in the movie franchise?
