Backstreet Boys, NSYNC In A Movie Together? I Want It That Way!

Rivals from perhaps two of the biggest boy bands are teaming up to appear in a zombie movie.

Backstreet Boys and NSYNC will star in the upcoming Syfy channel movie, titled “Dead 7.”

Written and directed by Backstreet’s Nick Carter – who will also star in the movie – “Dead 7” will also feature his wife Lauren Kitt, bandmate AJ McLean and NSYNC’s Joey Fatone.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Carter hopes that he will be able to cast One Direction’s Niall Horan to play his brother.

Speaking about the movie, Fatone said, “This is such therapy for us.”

The members of the bands say that there was never rivalry between the music groups. According to BuzzFeed, Carter says that the rivalry was “all contrived” and “strictly the media being bored.”

“We shared the same management, same label … but they would always kinda keep us away, apart, but there was actually no legitimate reason,” Fatone said.

Carter expressed his excitement over sharing the stage with members from NSYNC.

“Think about it,” he said. “Boy-banders, people from the late ’90s, people who you love, fighting zombies in a post-apocalyptic world. Pretty crazy, right?” as reported by People Magazine.

The movie was promoted at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. It will be produced by The Asylum.

An Asylum press release reads, “Dead 7 is the story of a ragtag band of gunslingers who must rid a small town of a zombie plague in a post-apocalyptic West. Carter will play Jack, the reluctant hero who unites the outlaws to face the zombie menace.”
