“Avengers: Infinity War” has gotten a huge confidence boost after the success of “Captain America: Civil War.” Now it has also been said the film will feature more or less the original teams along with Marvel characters from films leading up to its 2018 release.
According to Screen Rant, even after the events that unfolded in Civil War, keeping the team separated isn’t in the formula. With more Marvel films between ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and the sequels, their plan is to show events that would eventually repair the fractured superhero alliance.
There have been rumors of a completely new Avenger team appearing in the film for ages. Given that it is a two-part sequel, a divided Avengers is much likely with each one given its time to shine in one movie.
In an interview with IGN, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely that a full on division is not worth considering. It is more likely to redo the set-up from ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and distribute screen time and dialogue among a large number of characters.
Characters that have a large presence in the first film will be generally reduced to background roles in the second film. This is a good idea considering the fact that ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ could feature up to 68 different characters.
Additionally, the characters that will appear in the film don’t necessarily mean they are part of the Avengers. Aside from the main villain Thanos, the film could possibly feature the team from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, also, the plot will be driven by the Infinity Stones, something that exists within multiple storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Whatever the circumstances, the film is worth anticipating with its ensemble of award winning people working on it. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ as it is currently known will be two-part film with part 1 scheduled for release on May 4, 2018, and part 2 on May 3, 2019.
