For those who followed Attack on Titan anime and the real-life flick, one notable invention used was the 3D maneuvering gear that the soldiers used to glide and fly out to different directions.
It is essentially an invention that works both as a weapon and something that can get soldiers from point A to point B. In Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, gamers get to experience all that for as long as they can keep up and of course defend the ‘Wall’.
Focus on 3D Maneuvering Gear
Apparently the 3D maneuvering gear was what game developer is stressing for the upcoming game. For players to effectively use the weapon, they need to be in control. This includes efficiently shooting out the wires and hitting proper targets, as they avoid the ‘titans’ out to eat them.
Hence, Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom is not solely about piercing through the titans but about tactics and making sure they maintain balance. Aside from that, the game offers something pretty challenging with the intent of saving lives and destroying the titans.
The best way to get the hang of the 3D maneuvering gear is to see how the ones in the films do it. It may not be as easy as it looks. It needs various factors for players to consider.
That includes the buildings or walls where the tip of the wires will land and of course the maximum distance they can travel. Shooting at the titans seems easy as well but as seen in the film, it requires a lot of logistics as well.
Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom is set to come out on Aug. 30 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. The PC version was supposed to be in the mix but ended up being released ahead. It is already out via Steam. Check out this link for some sample gameplay.
