The current season has not yet aired its finale episode but Stephen Amell has already started dishing out ‘Arrow’ Season 5 plot predictions. And it does not include a “super” villain?
If you liked Damien Darhk with all his magical powers and supernatural capabilities, then you are going to be pretty disappointed with what Amell claims is in store for viewers in ‘Arrow’ Season 5.
In an exclusive interview with Variety, Amell opened up about a fresh new “big bad”, saying “…our villain, is something that you can really only do once you’re in the fifth, sixth or seventh season of a TV show”.
Even though he did not elaborate on who or what the possible evil could be, he did mention that it will definitely not be a “super” villain, unlike Darhk – “As far as I know, they don’t have superpowers. I’ll tell you that.”
But with other DC superhero shows like ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ all involving bad guys with exceptional superpowers, won’t it be a step back for ‘Arrow’? Well, if a recent report from TVLine is anything to go by, this won’t be the case. The rumored new villain finds killing as one form of “having a good time.”
‘Arrow’ Season 5 new villain
Just recently, TVLine saw a casting call reportedly for Arrow season 5. The production was looking for an actor of any ethnicity, must be in his late 20s to 30s. The man should have a strong presence that is very telling of his physical strength.
The actor being sought is going to play the role of “James,” described as “irrepressibly charming” but is out for vengeance. This new character lost a beloved someone in the past and is out to kill whoever was/were responsible.
This new character is someone that can “just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy — and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he’s more than capable of having a good time as he does it,” reads the casting call as seen by TVLine.
‘Arrow’ season 4 finale episode
Just how Damien Darhk’s death will come about?
The team will be “tracking Darkh down and saving everything because the stakes are very high” David Ramsey told Mirror UK in an interview.
He went on to say that the finale is all going to be about Darhk. And as the team found itself raising against time to save the world, “Darhk has to get his comeuppance.”
‘Arrow’ season 4 finale episode airs next week, 25th May on CW, where Oliver will be seen rescuing Felicity and her family and thwarting Darhk’s plans of complete annihilation of the world.
