Kira Yukimura will no longer be part of “Teen Wolf” season 6. Actress Arden Cho has confirmed that she will leave the series.
The 30-year-old actress made the announcement in a video on Monday, according to Hollywood Life. Fans found this disappointing. “I just want to say I love Kira Yukimura so much,” the Korean-American artist said. “I love the Yukimura family. I loved my experience on ‘Teen Wolf.’”
While it has been “an amazing three-and-a-half years,” she pointed out that “It’s gone by so fast, but unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira’s storyline and she won’t be coming back for season 6.”
Amid her announcement, though, she failed to cite specific reasons of her departure from the MTV series. “I think sometimes in a show where there’s so many characters, there isn’t always room for everyone,” shared Arden Cho, whose character was last seen when Scott left her with the Skinwalkers.
“I do wish we would’ve developed a little bit more of her powers and the Skinwalkers,” she added.
Despite this development, some might still hold on to the possibility of her re-appearing in certain episodes, just like what happened to Crystal Reed, who came back in season 5 after her character Allison died in season 3. However, she already became Marie-Jeanne Vale during her return. Do you think this is a potential twist for Arden Cho in “Teen Wolf” season 6?
“You never know with ‘Teen Wolf,’” Cho concluded her video. “People might come back.”
In the meantime, Tyler Posey shared in an interview with E! News that apart from being part of the cast, he will also work behind the camera. “I’m directing an episode sometime this season,” the “Teen Wolf” season 6 star disclosed. “I don’t know what yet but that’s exciting. I’m producing and it’s just going to be good.”
