Nowadays there are a lot of smartphones from different brands penetrating the mobile world. And there are bound to be more models to come out, especially with the Mobile World Congress or MWC 2016 event to be held within two weeks.
But while most companies and/or brands decided to wait for the said event, one brand has been brave enough to announce its upcoming mobile phone ahead of MWC. The brave company is Archos and they have announced this Feb. 10, Wednesday that they will be releasing its latest offering. which is not just an ordinary phone but a high end one, reports Digital Trends.
The new Archos phone is the sleek 50d Oxygen phone which is ultra-slim, lightweight and has a minimalistic design. It is exactly 8.1mm thick and weighs 140 grams. It comes with a 5-inch IPS 1080p display that has a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and a 440.51 ppi.
The sophisticated mobile phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop on a 1.3 GHZ octa core MediaTek MTK6753 processor. It comes with a RAM of 2GB and an internal storage of 16GB which is expandable through a microSD card of up to 32GB.
According to the press release of the phone maker, Archos 50d Oxygen which has a deep black body with a gold metal contour offers an unprecedented photo experience. The hand held device sports a 13 megapixel rear camera which has autofocus an LED flash. It also has a 5 megapixel camera.
This dual SIM capable phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, 3G, GPS, and 4G LTE in terms of connectivity options. It is powered by a removable 2100 mAH battery. It will be presented at the MWC event in Barcelona, Spain between Feb. 22-25.
Archos also says that its latest offering will be available by May this year for only £129 USD or $150 USD. Each consumer who buys Archos’ latest phone will receive the phone along with its USB charger, USB cable, Battery, Hands-free kit, quick start guide, and warranty Booklet.
