Victoria’s Secret Angel and supermodel Candice Swanepoel became the first woman to wear the Apple Watch for a cover of SELF, a women’s lifestyle magazine in the U.S. The cover is slated for SELF’s March issue.

According to SELF, the Apple Watch is an ideal accessory for Swanepoel because of her athletic prowess. The cover will show the Victoria’s Secret Angel’s sporty personality.

“I’m an athlete. I use every single muscle, especially my core and arms, when I pose. It’s important for me to feel strong!” Swanepoel told SELF.

The Apple Watch

The device’s introductory price will start at around $349 and will be available in April, according to SELF. The magazine said the watch has an accelerometer, a built-in heart rate sensor, GPS and WiFi compatible to the iPhone. With the Apple Watch, users can monitor the amount of calories they burn, how fast their physical activities are and how often they need to sit less and move often for the whole day, SELF said.

What to Expect on Apple Watch April Release Date

With the Apple Watch’s ability to measure the quantity, quality and frequency of the users’ movement, the device can eventually suggest personalized daily fitness goals, Apple said in its website.

The device will come equip with Apple Pay. This feature will allow users to pay for purchases right from their wrist. If setup correctly, the Apple Pay can be used for purchases at various stores across U.S.

It will come in three editions namely, the Apple Watch Sport, the standard Apple Watch and the Gold Edition that could come pricier than the two models.

With the Glances app, user can check weather information, stock quotes and calendar events in real time just by glancing at their Apple Watch. The Apple Watch can also automatically adjust to the local time of the place when traveling.

Apple said that the Apple Watch is designed to be as personal as it can be. When synchronized with an iPhone, the user can feel a gentle tap when receiving an incoming message. The device will require an iPhone 5 or a later version.
