The big announcement for the new Apple iPhone 6s and the latest model of Apple TV is rumored to be held in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Find out what else is in store.
Hoodline earlier reported on a mysterious tech event happening in mid-September at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Though no company had claimed any connection to the event in their earlier report, it has now been confirmed by an insider that yes, Apple has booked the dates, further cementing the speculations that the big Apple announcement will be done there.
It’s most likely a “trade show,” the report said. The booking is until September 12, though a different report came out from 9to5Mac that the booking is from September 4 up to September 10 only. Either way, the September 9 date is still coherent with the reports.
For the event, Apple has closed the front street, Grove Street, from 6pm on Tuesday until 11:59pm on Thursday, September 10. Fulton between Larkin and Hyde will also be closed for traffic on September 9 from 4am to 11:59pm.
