Apple Campus 2 ‘spaceship ring’ is rapidly taking form and is right on its target occupancy goal of 2016, AppleInsider said in an exclusive report.
The report took an aerial shot of the construction site on March 16 and witnessed firsthand how the underground theater of the campus is being build in haste but with due diligence. The “lobby area is now rounding the bend,” AppleInsider said.
According to the Apple Campus 2 project description submitted on April 2013, the ‘spaceship ring,’ with approximately 2.8 million square feet in four stories, is designed to accommodate up to 12,000 employees when completed. Amnesties will include a restaurant, a corporate fitness center and an auditorium.
“Apple Campus 2 will become a model for the 21st century workplace – a fantastic place to work, to create, to collaborate, and to shape future technology,” the project description stated.
