Apple is said to unveil new iPhones, iPads and an updated Apple TV at a media event held at San Francisco on Wednesday, Sept 9, 2015.
Since Apple launches its new handsets in September every year it is quite certain that new Apple devices would be released in the event. Press invites that were sent out around the last week of August about the media event at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium hint that there would be much focus on Apple’s voice assistant Siri in the show, according to Tech Crunch.
It is expected that Apple will release an updated 6 and 6 plus iPhones in the event, after having released quite a large 6 plus iPhone last year. The iPhone launched this year is widely expected and rumored to carry Apple’s conventional “S” with the model name iPhone 6S.
As far as the shape of the so-called iPhone 6S and 6S plus are concerned, it is fine to believe that the devices would be out with metal and round-edged designs. The company so far has been following a two-year design refresh cycle as far as smartphones are concerned.
There is also leaked news that the iPhone 6S and plus could be equipped with a much robust metallic shell. The mobile phone makers could be considering 7000 series aluminum instead of the one used in prior models for building a lightweight but strong outer case.
Gartner analyst Van Baker predicts, “We are going to get the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, or whatever they are going to call it,” according to Hindustan Times.
