Rita Ora is allegedly set to host the all new, revamped, “America’s Next Top Model” in place of Tyra Banks. Is she ready to take on the legacy left by Tyra Banks?
“America’s Next Top Model,” originally founded by Tyra Banks herself, has had a successful run until the recent years when fans started losing interest in the show. Ultimate the show was pulled from the network and it seemed like the end of the show.
However, VH1 has picked it up and doing its best to re-launch it with a fresher and more youthful vibe. Reportedly signing up Rita Ora to play the host is part of its attempt to do just that. The 25-year old singer made the headlines after quitting the British version of “The X Factor.”
Rita Ora Replace Tyra Banks
According to Daily Star, “Next Top Model bosses wanted to inject some freshness back into the format and they see Rita as the ideal new face.” Does that mean that Tyra was getting too old to host the show?
The show has been running for 22 years at a stretch and was initially a crowd-puller. However, not much novelty was introduced into the format and soon people started to lose interest on the show.
In order to spice up things, “America’s Next Top Model” even tried introducing male contestants into the show, which was earlier only reserved for women alone. Unfortunately, this did not help the ratings that much and the show ended up losing its regular spot on the network.
Even though Tyra Banks will remain the executive producer of the renewed version of “America’s Next Top Model”, the 42-year old will no longer be appearing on camera in the show.
If the reports are true, will Rita Ora be able to recreate the magic that Tyra Banks had on “America’s Next Top Model”?
