Amber Heard’s ex-girlfriend came into the actress’ defenses when the story of her arrest in 2009 surfaced again.
Following Amber Heard’s divorce from husband of 15 months Johnny Depp, “The Danish Girl” actress was herself dragged into a domestic violence issue in 2009 when she allegedly attacked her ex-girlfriend Tasya Van Ree, Page Six report said.
But her ex and photographer Tasya Van Ree, regardless of the being the said “victim” defended Amber Heard and what happened back in September 14, 2009.
According to Tasya Van Ree, they were at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to catch a flight when they had a small argument, which resulted to Amber Heard’s hitting her arm. However, she said they were misinterpreted by what seemed to be a homophobic authority, who then accused the actress with domestic abuse.
“In 2009, Amber was wrongfully accused for an incident that was misinterpreted and over-sensationalized by two individuals in a power position,” she said. I recount hints of misogynistic attitudes toward us which later appeared to be homophobic when they found out we were domestic partners and not just ‘friends.’”
Tasya Van Ree added that her relationship with Amber Heard remains good even if they are not together anymore. She added that she is sad to know that her name is being questioned again to this day.
“It’s disheartening that Amber’s integrity and story are being questioned yet again,” she said. “Amber is a brilliant, honest and beautiful woman and I have the utmost respect for her. We shared 5 wonderful years together and remain close to this day.”
The report that Amber Heard had been arrested due to domestic violence surfaced again days after the actress filed for divorce from husband Johnny Depp whom she accused of the same charges.
According to her, she had suffered abuses from the actor all throughout her marriage with him. She said she was recently hit by an iPhone in their Los Angeles apartment, while Johnny Depp was drunk and high.
