Bookworms and reading enthusiasts can now have a feast. Most of their favorite reading materials are now in e-book and audiobook formats. Amazon has recently launched a new service called Kindle Unlimited to facilitate unlimited access to such e-books and audiobooks.
How about reading all you want for just $9.99 per month? Sounds like a fair deal, right? That is the small price to pay for reading your heart’s content. However, you can enjoy reading your favorite books in digital versions only if Amazon has those books in their files.
Initially, available content includes the current best-selling book-series like ‘Harry Potter, ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid,’ and ‘Lord of the Rings.’ Not surprisingly, the service also carries titles from famous writers like Michael Lewis, Stephen Covey, Sara Gruen, Michael Chabon, Robert Penn Warren, Lois Lowry, and William Goldman.
Not to be missed on the service are the expected classics. Those include the ‘Cat’s Cradle,’ ‘Animal Farm,’ and ‘2001: A Space Odyssey.’ On top of those are books that feature popular children’s characters, reference titles like the For Dummies book series, and travel guides from Lonely Planet.
Audiobooks and more
Do you want to read books while enduring long car rides or while trying to get into sleep? You can choose to enjoy unlimited access to over 2,000 Audible audiobooks. Listen to the crowd favorites like ‘Life of Pi,’ ‘Hunger Games’ trilogy, and ‘The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat,’ among others.
Additionally, the company would also include Kindle exclusive books into the new service. As expected, it is also adding numerous of its Kindle Singles and other stories that are just about a hundred or less pages long.
Do you want to try out immediately? You may opt for a 30-day Kindle Unlimited free trial. This also comes with free three-month access to Audible membership, which entitle users to over 150,000 narrated titles.
Interestingly, this new service is available to all users of Kindle app. This makes it possible for other Kindle users to enjoy it. Kindle app is not exclusive to Kindle users. It can also be installed and access in other devices like iPad, iPhone, Android tablets, and smartphones (BlackBerry and Windows Phone, among others).
