Amal & George Clooney dished out 10,000 pounds (more than $13,000) for a rowboat for their multi-million dollar mansion in Oxfordshire in an island on the Thames. The A-list couple’s teak wood boat was spotted moored at the waterside pavilion.
It was kept covered in front of their little love nest that they created in a classic style made of reclaimed wood. Pictures of the wooden hut with steps leading to water were all over the media in November end.
It was reported that the couple would relax in the hut that had a sit-out complete with a swing chair and wood burner. The Hollywood actor also carried out a 13 ($26) million pounds renovation on their nine-bedroom Georgian mansion to make it their perfect family home, Daily Mail reports.
The house also boasts of a home cinema, 360-degree security, 60 feet swimming pool, a pool house and a tennis court. In spite of getting a restraining order in the light of life threat from a stalker, Amal & George Clooney may like to row on the Thames.
“It’s good to see the Clooney’s making the most of the English countryside. But we’re hoping the river bank won’t get packed with excited middle-aged women,” said a source to Daily Mail.
After the death threat, Amal & George Clooney moved to their home in Lake Como, Italy. They were spotted on several occasions having romantic dates, besides also went out with a large group of family and friends recently.
In spite of divorce rumors doing the rounds, Amal & George Clooney were pictured getting cosy during the Fourth of July weekend while watching fireworks from atop a water taxi. It also has been reported several time that the couple were fighting with each other.
Tabloid reports went to the extent of citing that the couple had a clash at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Amal was there at Cannes to support her husband during the promotion of his new film directed by Jodie Foster “Money Monster.”
