Alicia Keys and Charlie Puth have collaborated on a song and fans seem to be quite pleased about it. Puth announced that he has written a song with Keys, but it is not yet known whether the song is for a future Puth release or for the upcoming sixth studio collection of Keys.
“Alicia Keys and I just wrote such a song right now,” Puth wrote of Twitter.
“Fans responded with great enthusiasm, as they wait for the sing to be released. @charlieputh i can’t wait to hear it. It’s going to be a tune I just know it,” wrote a Twitter user.
Another tweeted, “@charlieputh OMG I LOVE YOU BOTH!! OMG BOTH OF YOUR VOCALS TOGETHER AMAZING!!!”
There were other queries from the fans regarding the possible release date of the song or the name of the album. “@charlieputh will it be on your new album, will she feature, will it be on #Empire ???” enquired a fan on Twitter.
Another user wrote “@charlieputh yaasss I can’t wait to hear it!! I need new music Charlie! Release date of Carry On?”
This is not the first time that Puth has co-written a song. He has previously co-written/produced songs for CeeLo Green (“Working Class Heroes”), Trey Songz (“Slow Motion”), Thomas Rhett (“I Feel Good”), Jason Derulo (“Broke”), and Bonnie McKee (“Bombastic”).
According to a report by Hamada Mania, Puth has also made contributions into the upcoming projects of Fergie [Interscope], Zara Larsson [Epic], Kehlani [Atlantic], and Pia Mia [Interscope].
Meanwhile, Alicia Keys is in the process of launching her next studio collection, which will feature singles like “In Common” and “Hallelujah.” It is expected to release later this year through RCA records. Illangelo, Billy Walsh, Taylor Parks, Harold Lilly, Mark Batson, Sam Romans, Jimmy Napes, Sam Dew, Mike Dean, and Swizz Beatz have been confirmed to be collaborating on the unnamed project.
Keys and Puth delivered a joint performance on Saturday night, with a rendition of Babyface’s 1989 hit ‘Whip Appeal.’ However, it did not go smooth as the duo forgot most of the lyrics, the Hip Hollywood reported. Few lines into the song and Keys confessed that she forgot the part.
