An anonymous source with affiliation with the French intelligence revealed that airlines are being warned about a possible 9/11-style attack. According to the source, the attack will be conducted by highly-organized “network of militant Islamists.” The warning comes days before the 9/11 anniversary.
A source close to the French intelligence who has spoken with The Telegraph on condition of anonymity revealed that there had been a warning in place for airlines of a supposed missile strike. “Airlines have been warned of a possible attack on a plane with an anti-tank missile,” the source said, adding that “pilots are unsure how to take evasive action.”
The source added that the French army has already made emergency plans for “the reapproppriation of national territory.” The source explained that part of these plans is winning back control of neighborhoods where the residents are hostile to the authorities and where guns are proliferated. The source specified that such neighborhoods have lots of “alienated and angry fourth-generation immigrant kids” that the “prospect of radicalization is increasingly likely.” The source also mentioned the attempted massacre on an Amsterdam-Paris train, adding that “highly-organized networks of militant Islamists embarked on a campaign of violence and determined to intensify it.”
Meanwhile on Reddit, a trend titled “How much did your life change after 9/11” has received over 6,000 comments overnight. The question was intended for the “Muslims of Reddit.” Most of the comments highlighted how profiling, stereotyping and racism heightened after the 9/11 attack.
One commenter shared that after 9/11 “people would spit at my mom when she’d walk down the street.” The commenter shared an incident when the electricity went out in their apartment building and the police came. “All of the neighbors were talking to them and pointing at our apartment. I was younger when it happened so I only know what my parents told me,” the commenter said.
Another commenter who also lived in Staten said he is Hindu, not Muslim, “but my best friend’s mom still told him to stop hanging out with me.” The commenter went on saying that “this one definitely hurt because the mom had known my family and me since I was like 4 or 5 years old and I’d always hang out at their place, even sleep over, and I never figured she’d be the type to do that.” The irony was that, his family was one of the first people to go “straight to Ground Zero and began volunteering at the site to help clean up and get more people out of there literally the day after the attack.”
