Miley Cyrus has once again made headlines by posing nude for Paper Mag, where she revealed a few details about her advocacy and her own sexuality.
Recently, the 22-year-old singer announced the Happy Hippie Foundation, a fund-raiser aimed to stir awareness with regards to the various plights of the LGBT youths around the world.
According to the website, Happy Hippie‘s mission is “is to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations.”
With 1.6 million youths driven homeless every year, the foundation seeks to raise funds. As for where the money goes, its website says that “every $15 provides one LGBT youth with digital support groups for a year, so that they can access critical resources, help and community no matter where they live.”
Miley has had her own inner struggles related to sexuality. In the interview with Paper, she revealed that she had confessed to her mother about being bisexual.
“I remember telling her I admire women in a different way. And she asked me what that meant. And I said, I love them. I love them like I love boys.”
According to Miley, her mother has accepted who she is, thus she wants other people to enjoy the same privilege of acceptance.
So will someone like Miley Cyrus judge you for you who are, then? Probably not.
“As long as you’re not hurting anyone,” she told the magazine, “your choices are your choices.”
