Rapper 50 Cent has vowed to hunt down the hoodlums who robbed New York Knicks guard Cleanthony Early during the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
According to the Associated Press, Early and his girlfriend left CityScapes (a stripclub) in Queens at about 4:30 a.m in an Uber cab when his vehicle was hounded by at least three other cars and a group of people, at least one of whom was armed. Despite handing the hoodlums two gold chains, the New York Knicks player was shot in the right kneecap.
Early was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition. As of this moment, no suspects have been arrested or detained. Fortunately, Early’s girlfriend and the Uber driver left the scene unharmed.
Carmelo Anthony, Early’s superstar Knicks teammate, said he was “shocked” to hear the disturbing news. “You (Early) have to be careful. You have to be aware of kind of what you’re doing and your surroundings and where you’re at. … Guys are going to go out. Guys are going to have a good time. I think we just have to be a little bit more aware and a little bit more conscious of where we’re at, who we’re around, our surroundings, who’s in our circles and things like that.”
50 Cent, who hails from Queens, took to Instagram Wednesday and posted an image with the caption: “They hungry out here man. You in the league (NBA), you made it, you gotta chill. He (Early is) only 24 he gonna want to party, I’m a see if I can get his stuff back. TODAY!”
Can 50 Cent live up to his promise? Or will the cops beat him to it?
