What Is Inside The New Mazda CX-9 Engine?

Mazda has done some of the biggest and the unique things with the new CX-9 engine in order to stay true with its slogan ‘driving matters’. According to Cheatsheet  the pros and cons of the CX-9 Powertrain are-

  • The four cylinder 2.5 liter engine generates 250 horsepower as the peak output, 310 pound-feet as torque and can pull up to 3500 pounds.
  • The engine runs on 87 octane and gives the fuel performance of 27 mile per gallon on the highway without an issue. Opting for the premium gives power gains.
  • In sport mode the six speed automatic gear system is seamless as it holds high RPM in this mode. The power is delivered to all the four corners without hesitation, thanks to Mazda’s i-Active AWD system.
  • But the exhaust system looks restrictive and the engineers admit this due to emission standards which are needed to be followed.
