Zayn Malik, former member of One Direction (1D), is on the verge of starting his solo career. On June 15, the singer released a spirited rendition of Rae Sremmurd’s No Type, which he recorded with MIC Righteous.

The lyrics of the song goes like, “I’m just living life/And let my momma tell me yeah I ain’t living right…” and according to MTV, it fits perfectly with his current lifestyle.

As far as the vocals are concerned, Zayn sounds good in his solo parts and it collaborates well with the hip-hop style. It’s still to be decided if he is good enough without his former bandmates. The success or failure of the Zayn Malik’s solo album will tell the truth.

Following his exit from 1D, Malik promised a solo comeback to his fans and he has kept the promise. He left the band in March.

Rumors were high during the weekend relating to Zayn’s comeback, following the removal of his goodbye post on Facebook and Malik’s bio returning to the band’s website. However, USA Today confirmed that it’s not true. It is probably the end of the journey with Zayn Malik and it seems he has no plans to return to the band.
