“But I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October,” he added in his statement.
Zayn Malik said that all tickets will be refunded and he is apologizing for the disappointment this has caused him.
The organizers of the concert meanwhile understand Zayn Malik’s decision.
117Live CEO Thomas Ovesen said, “Whilst disappointed not to be hosting the planned Oct 7th. Dubai concert we appreciate Zayn’s honest apologies and wish him all the best for the future.”
Last June, it can be recalled that Zayn Malik has also cancelled his performance at the London Capital Summertime Ball, Wet Paint said.
Gigi Hadid’s boyfriend said he has been suffering from anxiety for the past few months since he went solo on his career.
“Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me… with the magnitude of the event I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career,” he wrote in Instagram.
Does this mean the singer can’t really perform in front of the crowd unlike when he was still with One Direction?
A report said that Zayn Malik has previously sought the help of “Chasing Pavements” singer Adele who also suffered anxiety attacks in her early years of performing.
A source from The Sunday Mirror said that Zayn Malik’s management are taking over the singer’s condition.
“I believe she been in touch with Adele’s manager Jonathan Dickins about it because Adele got a lot of help with panic attacks and stage fright – and look at her now,” the insider revealed.
