Zayn Malik seemed to be mocking One Direction fans. It seems he does not respect or acknowledge how much fans miss him being part of One Direction.

The 23-year-old singer said that he left the boyband because he was told by an alien to do so! Was the singer joking when he made the sweeping comment or was it something more serious and deeper than that?

Speaking with Glamour in a Q&A in honor of his first solo tour, he said “an alien spoke to me in a dream.”  Zayn Malik was asked when he realized he wanted to break off from 1D and go on his own.

He might be joking but not many are laughing.

According to sheknows states that “if Zayn is joking, his comments could be straight-up offensive.” In fact, Zayn Malik’s comment seems to suggest that he has “no respect r appreciation for his fans” or the other members of 1D.

His first album is “Mind of Mine” that was led by his first single “Pillowtalk.” His first solo made him the first artist in the UK to feature on top of the Billboard Hot 100 list with his first single. The video featured his girlfriend and model Gigi Hadid.

Zayn Malik has become something of a style icon after his association with the supermodel.

It was in March 2015 that Zayn Malik announced his decision to quit 1D and his band mates Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, after five long years.

“I’d like to apologize to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart,” he said in a statement. Zayn Malik added that he wanted to be just another 22-year-old who wanted to relax and stay out of the spotlight.
