Zayn Malik Calls Producer Naughty Boy ‘Fat Joke’ For Leaking Music Video
Zayn Malik made headlines after calling Naughty Boy a “fat joke,” with the chummy relationship between the two sliding into what can only be defined as a disaster.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the producer had released a Malik single on SoundCloud, seemingly as a response to the bitter quarrel with One Direction member Louis Tomlinson. Malik and Naughty Boy had fronted the dispute together, with the former 1D member taking a shot at Tomlinson for making fun of Naughty Boy in a subtweet.
However, things changed dramatically on Monday. Malik slammed the producer – who has collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Leona Lewis, and Rihanna in the past – on Twitter for leaking a segment of the unfinished music video for Malik’s cover of Rae Sremmurd’s “No Type.”
Naughty Boy had posted the video footage on his SnapChat. Malik appears in the video, accompanied by Krept and Konan. Here’s what the footage looks like:
As reported by International Business Times, although fans are excited at the prospect of Malik making a return to One Direction, some criticized him for calling Naught Boy a “fat joke.” Keeping in mind that “fat joke” is a British slang (American equivalent for “big joke”), it can be safely assumed that the pop star was not calling Naughty Boy fat.
Nevertheless, it isn’t certain that Malik will return to One Direction even if he decides not to collaborate with Naughty Boy.
#ZaynHasNoChill soon became one of the most trending topics on Twitter.
Among several theories people have derived, one that comes out as most promising is the possibility of Malik’s Twitter account having been hacked, as reported by The Independent.
Rumors quickly spread that the two had unfollowed each other on Twitter, only to be dismissed later.
