What's This?

YouTube has just announced that it will soon launch a new service that will give YouTube fans “exactly what they want.” And they are calling this YouTube Red.

First and foremost, YouTube Red is a membership. In fact, your ultimate and unlimited YouTube experience can begin for $9.99 a month. With a YouTube Red membership, you can watch as much YouTube videos as you want without interruption and even when you are offline. What’s more, your membership is able to extend across any device you use to access your YouTube videos.

Meanwhile, YouTube Senior Product Manager Matt Leske says that since YouTube Red will work with Google Play Music, those who subscribe to a YouTube Red membership will also be given access to Google Play Music. Aside from this, members also get to enjoy YouTube’s newly launched Gaming app as well as the YouTube Music app it will be releasing soon.

In addition, members can expect more YouTube privileges next year when YouTube releases new, original shows and movies that can only be accessed by YouTube Red members. According to YouTube Vice President and Global Head of Original Programming Susanne Daniels, some of these Originals include “Fight of the Living Dead,” “Lazer Team,” “A Trip to Unicorn Island,” “Sing It!,” “360 Project from MatPat of Game Theory,” “Single by 30,” “I Am Tobuscus,” and “Scare PewDiePie.”
