In a ski resort in northeastern Spain, a video footage and a photo surfaced showing a hulking beast with white fur (having the features of the elusive abominable snowman or Yeti) walking vertically on two legs as it dashes between trees.

As per The Sun, a skier of the resort ignited an awareness of danger after posting the image on a famous web forum with the caption, “This morning skiing in Formigal with friends we’ve come across this. What the hell is it? A bear or a bloody Yeti?”

The skier added, “We’ve told the ski resort, but they haven’t taken us seriously.”

Mirror reports that the image was retweeted a thousand times. The Yeti’s photo forced Aramon Ski Resort owners to conduct a search, and it sparked an excited discussion over whether a Spanish Yeti was on the loose or simply a bear looking for food. Other individuals anticipated it was a soldier wearing mountain camouflage.

The resort’s spokesperson firmly established that a search had been conducted after the alleged Yeti sighting. “We have spoken to the eyewitnesses of the Yeti sighting to identify the area in which it took place and after combing the area, we have found nothing.”

The spokesperson added, “We believe therefore that there is no cause for alarm and we provide a formal assurance regarding the visitors’ security.”

However, the Daily Star states that Yeti or the abominable snowman is said to be an ape-like creature  in the Himalayas. But even with numbers of alleged Yeti sightings in the past, the creatures are still considered a myth for the reason of lack of scientific evidence.
