Yakuza 0 finally has a release date. The game, exclusive for the PS4 in North America and Europe, is expected to be released on January 24, 2017, according to Sega.

The game is set in 1988 and follows the story of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as they punch and kick their way through thugs of all shapes and sizes. As Kiryu, it is the player’s job to help him clear his name after he is framed for a crime he did not commit. Majima, on the other hand, only wants to return to his former yakuza clan. To do so, he must accomplish a series of tasks that will test his strength and, in the end, his sanity.

Localization producer Scott Strichart explained on the PlayStation Blog how the translation works in Yakuza 0. Strichart wrote that the developers are “actually putting all the chapter titles, character introductions, opponent names, and on-screen directions in English, instead of just subtitling the kanji.”

Players who want to pre-order Yakuza 0 can do so by going to the brand new website, where they can find more information regarding the game.
