Xiaomi is gearing up for the release of several devices this year. According to new reports, the company will be releasing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus soon. Specs and other details of the devices have also been leaked, promising more exciting offerings from the company.
Xiaomi should release the details of the Mi 5 soon enough, but a retailer went ahead of the pack and reportedly decided to release the specs and other information of the devices online. Website XiaomiDevice posted a listing of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus. There have been many reports on the specs of both devices but just in case people need a refresher, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will come with a 5.2″ 2K (1440×2560) IPS along with Snapdragon 820 chip and 4GB RAM. It will also feature 16MP primary camera, dual-LED flash, 8MP front camera. Users will alos have an option to pick between 16B or 64GB variants. Xiaomi will not be offering a memory expansion option unfortunately. Color options include Gold, White and Black.
The Mi Plus, on the other hand, will come with similar features but it will have a bigger screen at 5.7 or 6 inches plus 2K IPS display. It will also have larger battery will but will only be available at 64GB variants.
On top of the Xiaomi Mi 5 series release, the company is also busy preparing for the release of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. According to a report from MIUI, the Redmi Note 3 will be launched on March 3 in India. Xiaomi is inviting people to join the event in New Delhi. Fans will need to reserve tickets even though they are free. Registration begins at 12:30 pm (IST). Venue will be at Talkatora Stadium: Gate 5, Talkatora Garden, President’s Estate, New Delhi, Delhi 110004, India.
