Xiaomi Mi Box 3 Launched; AnTuTu Reveals 66,015 Score Over Previous Mi Box 3
Xiaomi recently launched a refreshed version of the Mi Box 3, the Mi Box 3 Enhanced Edition. The miniature digital player has an enhanced CPU performance and a faster GPU performance. The market for digital players is still in the nascent stage, and there remains more to be explored. Xiaomi is expected to bring newer dimensions in the field with its latest edition. Xiaomi claims maximum performance in the new version with upgraded features over the Mi Box 3. The company boasts that the GPU performance is 240 percent faster, while the CPU performance is 80 percent faster than its predecessor.
As for the internal features of the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 Enhanced edition, it will include a 64-bit Media Tek MT8693 hexa-core SoC in addition to PowerVR GX6250 GPU. The central processing unit (CPU) comprises of four Cortex-A53 chips set at 1.6GHz and two Cortex-A72 chips set at 2GHz each. The device also supports OpenGL ES 3.1.
Xiaomi has improved the internal cooling system of the current edition of Mi Box 3. The other features include 2GB of RAM along with 8GB of inbuilt storage. Apart from these features, the Wi-Fi connectivity will get further boost with 802.11ac 2×2 and transfer speeds up to 300Mbps. The device has v4.1 Bluetooth connectivity support which promises lower power consumption. Meanwhile, Xiaomi offers a Bluetooth enabled remote control which is apt for playing games stored in Mi Box. You can now buy the enhanced edition of Mi Box 3 for 399 Yuan (approx. US$61), reports NDTV.
The Chinese company announced the Mi Powerbank Pro last week. The device comes with USB type C charging ability which is used for charging the MacBook and Xiaomi Mi 5. It can also charge accessories like Xiaomi’s Bluetooth in-ear headphones and Mi Band Fitness tracker, reports IBTimes.
