Xiaomi Mi 5 vs Sony Xperia X Performance: How Well do they Perform?

The Xiaomi Mi 5 has an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that offers 16M colors for enhanced clarity in display. Measuring 144.6 x 69.2 x 7.3 mm and weighing 139 grams, the Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch screen. The display has 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution offering 428ppi. The screen to body ratio is 73.1% with multitouch feature, reports GSM Arena.
Sony brings a similar screen type for the Xperia X Performance, which features an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen size is smaller at 5-inch that has 16M colors, 1080 1920 resolution. You can count on the screen made out of scratch-resistant glass, which has an oleophobic coating and Trimulous display technology. The phone measures 143.7 x 70.4 x 8.7 mm and weighs 164.4 gram.
Software, Chip, Processor
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is based on the Android v6.0 Marshmallow and has dual-core 1.8GHz and dual-core 1.6GHz Kryo processor for the standard edition. The device is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 620 and Adreno 530 graphics card.
The Sony Xperia X Performance also features the latest Android v6.0.1 OS. It is powered by dual-core 2.15GHz Kryo and dual-core 1.6GHz kryo processor. The phone has a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 620 chipset and is fuelled by Adreno 530 GPU.
Comparing the camera features of both devices will give an idea which phone ranks better. The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 16MP rear camera and a 4MP front shooter. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia X Performance has a 23MP rear camera, while its front camera is 13MP.
While the Xiaomi Mi 5 does not support a microSd card slot, the Sony Xperia X Performance comes with a microSD card that supports up to 200GB memory capacity.
Considering battery power, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is leveraged by a 3000mAH non-removable battery. The Sony Xperia X Performance supports a non-removable 2700mAH battery.
Android Pit reports that the Xiaomi Mi 5 64GB phone is priced at $352. On the contrary, the Sony Xperia X performance is priced at $660.
