What's This?

Xiaomi Mi 5 is at the center stage, with all the spotlights on, as it recorded a whopping 16.8 million registration in the first week of its opening in China. The Chinese company created a new record by garnering maximum registrations for the first flash sale of the phone.

The Chinese company has the reputation of creating path-breaking records in terms of sales. The new achievement by the company is quite impressive, given the short span of five days for achieving a massive number of registrations from consumers.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi earned the magical figure from users only in China. Since the company has plans to launch the Mi 5 in other foreign markets in Asian countries and Brazil, the registration number is likely to reach the peak. Ever since the market went amok with news of the flagship model, fans have been waiting impatiently for the device to launch. Realizing consumers’ expectation, Xiaomi made every effort to deliver the best specifications and performance features in the handset at an unbelievably cheaper price tag, reports Tech Times.

The device has a 5.15-inch full HD screen that features 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The performance of the phone is fuelled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Xiaomi Mi 5 has MIUI v7.0 architecture built in it. There are three variants of the Mi 5 in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage. The 32/64GB variants are powered by 3GB of RAM, while the 128GB variant is fuelled by 4GB of RAM. Camera features include a 6MP Sony IMX298 rear camera and a 4MP front camera. Under the hood, it tucks in a 3000mAH battery, reports IBTimes.
