Great news Xbox fans, three new titles have been added to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program. The expansion includes the highly-acclaimed Bayonetta, in addition to Arknoid Live and De Blob 2.
The announcement was made on September 8 by Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb. So let’s take a look at the three “new” titles added to the program.
Arknoid Live is a fun block breaking game that arcade fans will definitely love. Arcade titles make up a large chunk in the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program which means many fans are voting for more games from the genre.
Next is De Blob 2 a fun little adventure game from the developers at THQ. According to Attack of the Fanboy, while the title itself is a bit childish, de blob represents individuality and determination.
Bayonetta Now Included In The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Program
And last but not the least, Bayonetta a smash hit from half a decade ago. Developed by Platinum Games, the third-person action game was released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the Wii U.
The premise is simple, sleeping with awakened to rid the world of evil. Featuring attacks that can easily be mistaken as a gothic fashion designer’s worst nightmare in addition to guns and shapshifting.
The game received highly positive reviews from critics as well as dominating video game sales after its release. Several prominent Japanese blogs and online publications also praised the game before, during, and after its release.
The game received a sequel in 2014 which was released exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U. It also received an anime adaptation, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate.
