If word from a renowned games leaker is to be believed, the next Xbox Live Games with Gold lineup will include Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016.
The games will allegedly be offered for free for Xbox One Gold subscribers in August. If the rumors are accurate, Phantom Pain and PES 2016 will enter the Xbox Live Games with Gold catalog just 11 months after they were first released in North America.
Sources told games leaker Ekim that Phantom Pain and PES 2016 will be featured on the Xbox Live Games With Gold lineup for August 2016. Details are still coming in, but Ekim promised his followers more updates soon.
Phantom Pain is an open-world action-adventure shooter developed by Kojima Productions. The game was written, designed and directed by Hideo Kojima. The highly-acclaimed video game creator has since partnered with Sony to work on Death Stranding.
On the other hand, the next installment of Konami’s soccer simulator is expected to release sometime in September. PES 17 will feature Adaptive AI, kit editing and more goalie involvement.
Segment Next recently caught up with PES brand manager Adam Bhatti to discuss about PES 17. Bhatti mentioned that Konami is not bothered by FIFA 17.
“We have offered a wealth of modes for years, and all these have been hugely improved in PES 2017,” he said. “Fans of Master League will be delighted as more realistic ideas are implemented, with transfers, training and the general nature of how the business side of football is determined are all greatly improved.”
PES 2017 will be available on PS4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. There are rumors that the game will also be compatible on PS4 Neo, Nintendo NX and Microsoft’s Project Scorpio.
