What's This?

Earlier today, Phil Spencer and team arrived at E3 to announce their upcoming releases for Xbox One. The group also revealed Microsoft’s gaming titles for this year and the next. You can check out our top 10 countdown for Microsoft’s E3 below.

  1. Xbox One S

It’s “slimmer,” “sleeker” and its “40 % smaller than Xbox One.” The new Xbox One S was the initial reveal made by Phil Spencer during Microsoft’s press conference at E3. The console is built with up to 2TB of Internal HDD with IR blasters and integrated Power Supply.

With its features like HRD gaming and 4k Ultra HD Video and Blue-ray, Xbox One S is priced at $299 (Xbox One 500Gb is also approximately priced at $299 at Amazon as of now.)

  1. Xbox Play anywhere

This announcement literally left the audience’s jaw dropped!  Rod Ferguson (Co-creator & Studio head of The Coalition) announced that any digital title with the tag “Xbox Play anywhere” will be playable on both Xbox One and Windows 10.

  1. Gears of War 4

The audience got their first looks at Gears of War 4 gameplay, played by Laura Bailey (Voice of Kait). But, that wasn’t the catch. The title has been confirmed to be available for Xbox Play anywhere and will be available for PC users with Windows 10 too. The game will be release on October 11.

  1. Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Gears of War Edition

Just few moments after the gameplay, Microsoft revealed the custom made Gears of War 4 controller. After taking a look at The Verge’s images of the controller, we can assure it is just as drooling as the reveal trailer was with the new gears logo. The controller is currently available for pre-order.

  1. Killer Instinct Season 3

We can give you two reasons to be excited about Killer Instinct Season 3: the introduction of Rash from Battletoads and Arbiter from Halo! Although Xbox confirmed the news earlier in March, we got to witness the first look at General RAAM in action. The most played game on Xbox One revealed him in action in a trailer.

  1. Forza Horizon 3

Microsoft’s racing video game swept the audience off their feet with its initial cinematic trailer. But, when the game was later tested out by 4 different players in different platforms, we witnessed Forza Horizon 3’s impressive potential.

The game’s co-op campaign is also worth pointing as players can jump into another friend’s map with a lift-off by a chopper and start a race at the instant.  The game will be release on September 27th 2016.

  1. Final Fantasy XV

Although we didn’t need an official announcement to know it’s evident release, Hajime Tabata started off with the reveal as another developer took the stage to give us the first looks at Final Fantasy XV gameplay. The title will be available on September  30 2016.

  1. The Division “Underground” Expansion

Microsoft confirmed The Division Underground DLC will be getting an early release for its console before PS4 and PC. The expansion will be available on June 28.

  1. Xbox Live

Xbox Live will now allow users to play background music during their play. Moreover, Phil Spencer confirmed the inclusion of a new feature called “clubs” which allows creation of groups with chat platform outside the game. Another feature will make it easier for users to find friends across the community.

All new features have been confirmed to go live in the October update for Xbox One.

  1. Minecraft Realm

On a lighter note, the developers of Minecraft came up to the podium to announce new features for Minecraft Realm. The studio is currently working on an update that will allow players on iOS, Android, Windows 10 to play together. But, builders would have to subscribe for Minecraft Realm service to play through the server.
