The latest installment of the Fox film franchise, “X-Men: Apocalypse,” has a line-up of both familiar faces and new additions.

The most recent pictures, courtesy Entertainment Weekly, show members of the cast of the upcoming X-Men film – with Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and Oscar Isaac as the title antagonist.

Munn posted a close up of her Psylocke hair on Instagram.

Speaking about his role as Apocalypse, Isaac said, “He’s believed to be the first mutant, whatever that means. He is the creative-slash-destructive force of this earth. When things start to go awry, or when things seem like they’re not moving towards evolution, he destroys those civilizations.”

Director Brian Singer says that the upcoming film begins 10 years after “X-Men: First Class.” It has been set in “a chaotic world of conflict and war and destruction,” Singer says. He also added that the cast members will be “very different” this time.

As reported by ComingSoon.net, in addition to Michael Fassbender playing Magneto, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult will be leading the line-up of “X-Men: Apocalypse” as Professor X, Mystique, and Beast. Some of the familiar faces will include Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Lucas Till as Havok. Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Lana Condor as Jubilee will be part of the newly introduced cast.

“X-Men: Apocalypse,” sequel to “X-Men: Days of Future Past” (and the final installment in the trilogy that started with X-Men: First Class) and the ninth film in the X-Men series, is scheduled for a release on May 27, 2016.
