WWE Backlash 2016 is a week away and one of the interesting matches for the evening is the crowning of the first-ever WWE SmackDown women’s champion. To determine the winner, a Six-Pack challenge will take place on the scheduled pay-per-view.

Among the participants for the said event include Becky Lynch, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Naomi and Carmella, all of whom seem worthy to be the first champion for the newly announced title.

Looking down on their accomplishments, the easy pick should be Nikki Bella. The former WWE Divas champion had the longest reign though she has yet to re-establish herself following a neck injury.

Time for Becky Lynch?

If not Nikki, Becky Lynch should be a favorite. Lynch has been figuring in major storylines even before the WWE brand split so seeing her win it all could make a lot of sense.

The brand split was actually good for the ‘Irish Lass Kicker,’ departing from the shadows of a cramped women’s division previously dominated by Eva Marie and current champion Charlotte.

Without question, Lynch has come into her own on SmackDown with things likely to pick up after WWE Backlash 2016 next week. But will the WWE creative team warrant it?

Could a fresh face be champion?

There is a possibility that a not-so-popular star may end up being the champion. Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Carmella or even Natalya could make a case for the title and the bragging rights.

The thing here is that it will depend on the storyline. Whoever wins in the end will likely see her first rival either on Backlash or the SmackDown episode following the PPV.

The thing is that it could be anyone from the mix. Nikki could revert to her heel ways, same with Natalya. The other combatants can easily make the switch as well, which makes the Six-Pack Challenge and interesting segment to watch next weekend.
