Brock Lesnar is expected to be at Wrestlemania 33 and the favorite to be on the other side is Bill Goldberg. But this is with the understanding that the WWE and Goldberg have already come to terms of a wrestling return.
Obviously, this is one big matchup many would want to see. Assuming however that Goldberg and the WWE fail to come to terms, then what? Who will Brock Lesnar face?
A match with the Undertaker (again) could make sense though it looks like the “Dead Man” may end up wrestling John Cena in what is believed to be a proper send off for the future WWE Hall of Famer. With the options dwindling, who could take the fall?
Shane McMahon Match Happening?
The Wrestling Observer Radio throws a monkey wrench in the scene by tossing the name of Shane McMahon into the mix. At first, it may seem preposterous though that is technically the same thing WWE fans though when Shane-O-Mac faced the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 32.
Physically, Shane is seen as a goner once Lesnar starts with his suplexes and the final nail which is the F5. So why make a match which seems lopsided?
Somehow the speculation makes a bit of sense. Everyone saw that confrontation at WWE SummerSlam when Shane tried to help out Randy Orton. No follow-up has happened so far but Wrestlemania 33 is still a long way off.
With all due respect to Shane McMahon, this is a match that makes little sense. Considering it is a big event, the best the WWE can do is find someone else with better size and similar star power.
As for the Goldberg vs. Lesnar showdown, Dave Meltzer claims that this will happen at WWE Survivor Series. Assuming it does happen, would this be the end? Why not radiate that billing at Wrestlemania 33 as well and prolong the feud?
