2K Sports turned heads at E3 2016 when they revealed WWE 2K17 details in an unconventional way. The developer teamed up with well-known artist Rob Schamberger to do a wall painting to reveal three WWE superstar that will be available as playable characters in the new wrestling video game.

The wall painting confirmed John Cena, Ultimate Warrior and Sasha Banks will be part of the WWE 2K17 roster. While our earlier report revealed that Goldberg will be available as a pre-order playable character, a new rumor suggested that WWE Heavyweight champion Dean Ambrose could be the WWE 2K17 cover star.

According to The Bitbag, Ambrose could be the WWE 2K17 featured star, considering his popularity among fans and his charisma inside and outside the ring, . If the rumors are true, Ambrose will follow the footsteps of John Cena and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, who were featured in the video game’s past two editions.

All eyes are currently on Dean Ambrose, but 2K Sports’ selection process for the Cover Star is based on the Showcase Mode of the game. We might as well wait for an official confirmation before we get carried away.
