What's This?

Paige, also known as Saraya-Jade Bevis, has not yet resurfaced in the WWE despite previous word that she will not be leaving the company. There were various times where a possible re-insertion would be happening and most focused more on how she would be squeezed in.

Unfortunately, it looks like Paige will continue to sit out WWE shows and her previous sighting backstage was nothing more than presence. Paige has long been rumored to be nursing an injury though its severity was unknown. That is until now.

Paige Suffers From Neck Injury

The former WWE Divas champion is reportedly suffering from a neck injury, something similar to what other male counterparts have suffered. Nikki Bella dealt with the same issue and underwent surgery to address it.

To recall, Nikki was out of the WWE scene for quite some time but recently returned. She was absent for a total of 10 months dating from Oct. 2015 to Aug. 2016.

For her part, Paige took to Twitter to shed more light on her injury. Per the post, it looks like she will be undergoing surgery in an effort to become better and eventually return to WWE action.

To date, Paige has failed to get clearance to return to the WWE scene and the neck injury is seen as the probable cause, Wrestling Inc. reported. With the cat out of the bag, Paige is likely to miss considerable time once she goes under the knife.

Throughout her career, Paige has suffered from injuries aside from her neck. That includes suffering from scoliosis which she had even before she came on board the WWE.

Paige had a tumultuous state recently, tied up to the departure of Alberto Del Rio, Forbes reported. It was believed then that she would follow her boyfriend out of the WWE but apparently the rumors were all nixed.

Despite all that, the fact remains that the WWE will have to wait for her to return, possibly in 2017. This is the assumption that her surgery goes well like the others. If not, it could hint at possible retirement.
