What's This?

Looking through the cards at WWE Clash of Champions, the company could do well to infuse some excitement to give the fans on hand at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis a treat. Something like a Goldberg appearance.

Goldberg was originally scheduled to be in the area and as one would guess, the rumors have run wild. Unfortunately, the man called “Goldberg” was originally set to do a podcast with Eric Bsichoff but the whole thing was called off.

No Goldberg in Indiana

In short, there will be no Goldberg at Indianapolis so the wait continues on when the 49-year-old actor/wrestler will actually re-emerge in the WWE.

Goldberg has spurred up a lot of excitement since getting a spot on WWE 2K17. Knowing that he and Vince McMahon don’t really see eye-to-eye, his resurrection has led many to believe that all is well between the two.

Additionally, Goldberg reveals that he is open to returning to the WWE scene which links him to a possible rematch with Brock Lesnar. “The Beast Incarnate” is the same man that Goldberg defeated at Wrestlemania 20 and the belief is that the two could collide perhaps at Wrestlemania 33.

But as everyone knows, a match pitting Goldberg and Lesnar will need proper hype. WWE Clash of Champions could be a bit too early to see that happen seeing Wrestlemania 33 is six months off.

Instead, it would be more feasible to see them start the fireworks in upcoming PPVs like the WWE Royal Rumble. This is normally the tipping point where Wrestlemania matches are set.

When will the phone ring?

Goldberg seems to be ready and is a call away. Right now, there is no move on the end of the WWE to touch base with him so all fantasy plans involving the former WCW/WWE star are sketchy.
