WW3 Has Begun: US Position Tactical, Not Strategic, In Syria
Tarek Ahmad, Syrian Social Nationalist Party representative, has said that Syria was only a front for a WW3 being initiated by Washington and its allies.Advertisement
The politician said that a dead end was reached in the Syrian war. Ahmad believes that due to the interference of foreign powers, the devastating war has turned into a chaotic mess.
WW3: Syria is the Beginning
According to Sputnik, Ahmad stated that the military situation in the country has reached a stalemate. However, he claimed that Syria is still under extreme political crisis intensified by the intervention of several uninvited regional and global powers.
While talking about these crises and the conflict between Damascus, its allies, the United States, and the U.S.-backed coalition’s attack on Syrian forces, Ahmad cautioned that one must understand how U.S. position in Syria is tactical, not strategic.
“The US’s goal is not limited to Syria,” Ahmad said.
“The Syrian front is not the goal in and of itself. We need to look at this issue objectively, and to admit that a Third World War is taking place in Syria, one which is led by the US and its allies – even if these allies are simultaneously victims as well.”
According to Ahmad, America’s major objective is to control any world power that threatens them. Hence, he inferred, Washington has been waging war with China and Russia.
WW3: US Accuses Russia
BBC reported that Samantha Power, U.S. ambassador to the UN, alleged that Russia has been involved in barbaric activities while bombing the Syrian city of Aleppo. Power, while speaking at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, claimed that Russia was telling outright lies to the council about its demeanor in Syria.
According to Power, Russia and the Syrian administration were “laying waste to what is left of an iconic Middle Eastern city.”
A counterargument to Power’s accusation came from Ambassador Vitaly Churkin, who said that few citizens were harmed after Syrian forces tried to eradicate terrorists from Aleppo. However, Churkin never said that Russian forces were involved.
Churkin also said that it was impossible to bring peace to Syria. He accused opposition-armed groups of tampering with the ceasefire.
WW3: The Emergency UN Meeting
The United Nations Security Council summoned an emergency meeting to discuss the extreme violence in Syria. However, due to the deep cracks between the Western powers and Russia, the meeting remained inconclusive.
Western powers like United States, Britain and France have been blaming Russia for supporting the Syrian offensive, which UN envoy Staffan de Mistura called one of the most devastating incidents in the almost six-year war.
ABC stated that when Bashar Ja’afari, Syria’s UN Ambassador, was asked to speak in the council, but the ambassadors of the three Western powers showed protest by walking out of the meeting.
