India is China’s New Enemy
China has taken notice of India, and things do not seem promising. In fact, India seems to be investing on efforts to counter the increasing Chinese aggression in the Asian region.
“India deploying supersonic missiles on the border has exceeded its own needs for self-defense and poses a serious threat to China’s Tibet and Yunnan provinces,” said the People’s Liberation Army Daily via National Interest.
“The deployment of BrahMos missile is bound to increase the competition and antagonism in the China–India relations and will have a negative impact on the stability of the region.”
In response to the statement, a Indian military source said, “Our threat perceptions and security concerns are our own, and how we address these by deploying assets on our territory should be no one else’s concern.”
India Allies with US
Nonetheless, it is suffice to say that China has something to worry about, especially with the upcoming war pact India and the United States are about to sign.
According to Forbes, the pact will be signed August 30, which will put the two nations in opposition of China. Specifically, the agreement will be sealed when Indian Defense Mister Manohar Parrikar proceeds with his two-day visit in Washington.
Moreover, the Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) will allow India and the United States to use the resources of each other, which could also offer military advantage against threats like China.
