After almost five years, “Game of Thrones” will finally release its sixth installment, Winds of Winter, as author George R.R. Martin is reportedly going to publish it during the middle of the sixth season of the TV series.
Fans have been left blind as “Game of Thrones” season six will release this coming April 2016. Unlike the previous seasons of the HBO hit television series, the sixth does not have a ready-made reference for fans who anticipate what’s to come for them.
As reported by Independent, the author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series, George R.R. Martin, have not published the “Winds of Winter,” one that was supposed to be reference for the sixth season, since he stalled writing. Among his reasons were: first, he declared, “In recent years all of the work I’ve been doing creates problems because it creates distraction. Because the books and the show are so popular I have interviews to do constantly. I have travel plans constantly. It’s like suddenly I get invited to travel to South Africa or Dubai who’s passing up a free trip to Dubai?”
He also added, “I don’t write that rigidly. I go over in the morning and sit down, I usually reread what I’ve done the day before to try to build up a little momentum. Sometimes I what I wrote the day before is not very good I spend whole day rewriting what I did the day before.”
Another excuse he claimed to have deferred him from writing in time for the series was, “I don’t write when I travel. I don’t write in hotel rooms. I don’t write on airplanes. I really have to be in my own house undisturbed to write. Though most of my life nobody did bother me but now everyone bothers me every day. I have assistants and minions whose main job is to make sure people don’t bother me so I can actually get writing done.”
Despite the author’s excuses, and after deferring for almost five years to publish his latest product, the author finally claimed that “Winds of Winter” may appear sooner in 2016.
According to Vine Report, the latest book for the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series will be released by the middle half of “Game of Thrones” as it airs on HBO. Furthermore, the author finally made changes to his schedule such as turning down interviews and taking a break from travelling to finish the book.
Furthermore, news of the book being released during the first quarter of 2016 sizzled when Martin was seen holding a manuscript while the series was under production. Ultimately, there were sources that claim some of the production team have already read the book while filming “Game of Thrones” season six. George R.R. Martin shared insights on what fans should expect and how each scene would relate to the series.
