What's This?

It has been a while since rumors about the Windows 10 Mobile release date have been running wild. According to some recent fresh reports, the software will launch this month for Lumia handsets. There’s a catch to it, as users can have access to the new software only by manually downloading it to their phones.

It should be noted that the tech firm will release the software after the monthly service updates to the Lumia 950 and 950XL, which already run on Windows 10 OS. Once the maintenance update to the phones starts to roll out, the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade to the phones will take place simultaneously.

Although, Microsoft failed to launch the Windows 10 Mobile in several previous attempts, this time, the chances are bright. It appears that the extra time is used by Microsoft to ensure that the latest Windows edition is suitably optimized for older platforms. For bugs and other errors in the software, the company will resolve the matter eventually, reports Tech Radar.

Microsoft said, “Microsoft is working closely with mobile operators to leverage their testing and our flighting to meet and exceed current quality bars. We will use their input but will decide when to send the updates out based on input from Mobile Operators and our Windows Insiders.”
