What's This?

Windows 10 released the Insider Preview Mobile Build recently for Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, 650, 550 and Xiaomi Mi4. This resulted into a Lumia 550 bug. The phone stopped charging or connecting via USB. Then the build was re-released and fixed the issue. The new version of Windows 10 mobile build 14267 this time included Alcatel Onetouch Fierce XL. While this new version fixed the Lumia 550 bug, a Windows 10 mobile keyboard bug has been reported.

Users are complaining since Microsoft has released a new build, 14267.1004, they are not able to download Windows 10 mobile keyboard languages. On Reddit where Windows 10 Insider Preview release was announced, one user commented, “I still cannot download any keyboard language dictionaries. This was fixed in a prior build but right now i get an error 0x80070020 right after the download of the language pack on my Lumia 1520. And I’m not able to download the dictionary on my PC too it says there is none available for Croatia keyboard but it was before :(.” Another user on the same thread said, “This update broke downloading new keyboard languages for me again. I can’t download the Canadian English version. It says preparing download and then says an error occurred no matter how many times i try.” To this comment, a Microsoft engineer replied. She wrote, “Hey – just wanted to let you know we’ve been investigating this issue (and are working on adding it to the blog). It’s specific to 14267.1004 😩. Right now, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there’s a workaround, although if you upgrade with the keyboards, they should all be there as expected.”

About the Windows 10 mobile keyboard bug, Softpedia in its report wrote, “According to user feedback, Lumia devices running this new Windows 10 Mobile build cannot download new keyboard languages, as the process fails with a message only saying that “An error occurred.” This behavior is only experienced on devices that update to build 14267.1004 and perform a full reset.

Now to fix this all new Windows 10 mobile keyboard bug, will Microsoft release another version of this build? Possible.
