As reported by E Online, the “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” actor took on his Facebook account and stated, “I am stunned and heartbroken.” Smith added, “I just spoke with Prince last night. Today, my wife, Jada & I mourn with all of you the loss of a beautiful poet, a true inspiration, and one of the most magnificent artists to ever grace this earth.”
However, Smith did not pitch in the details of his conversation with Prince. Instead, he included a photo of Prince on a guitar at the Forum in Los Angeles in 1985, at the height of Prince’s career.
As reported by Entertainment Online, the American actress and Will’s wife – Jada Pinkett Smith, also posted a touching tribute to show her feelings of pity and sorrow for Prince.
“Prince was one of the first artists to put me on game in regard to the industry.” Jada wrote on her Facebook account. “Prince was not only a genius artist, he was kind, funny, beautifully eccentric, curious, imaginative, magical, spiritual, rebellious and extremely intelligent. The singer showed me early the power of living one’s life by one’s own rules and no one else’s,” she wrote.
Jada Smith’s post pointed out how sad it is to lose an artist like Prince. The music icon has sold over 100 million records around the globe. Prince took home seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award. Prince was also one of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. More importantly, he inspired and influenced many.
