Houston Texans defensive end J.J Watt landed on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, where the duo took part in a game of Egg Russian Roulette. The brief showdown between Watt and Fallon kept the viewers at the edge of their seats on Friday’s episode.

The footballer and the show host engaged in a war of eggs, which were painted like footballs. They had to pick an egg each from a carton containing 12 eggs and smash it on their own foreheads. The catch is, 6 of the 12 eggs in the carton were hard boiled while rest were raw eggs. The one who picks the most number of hard boiled eggs wins.

Watt defeated Fallon by picking two hard boiled eggs, while The Tonight Show host ended up getting only the raw ones. Before he began with egg smashing stint he tested the eggs by smelling, licking and shaking it near his ears. Fallon voiced a friendly protest to his methods of testing.

“That’s definitely how you tell,” Watt replied to Fallon before finally hitting the egg on his forehead, as quoted by the Washington Post. “All the senses, Jimmy.”

Though the first egg turned out to be a safe pick for the defensive dynamo, the second one splattered his hands. Watt said he would eat the second egg thinking it would also turn out to be a hard boiled one. But luck was on his side that time and the footballer had to have a taste of the raw, yolky egg dripping from his fingers.

“You can’t eat raw egg! Not in New York state,” Fallon exclaimed, as quoted by the Rolling Stones.

But in the end, it was Watt who emerged the winner by scoring two hard-boiled eggs and one raw egg, while Fallon ending up with three raw eggs splattered all over his face.
