Watch: New ‘Warcraft’ Movie International Trailer Released!
Warcraft is no doubt one of the most anticipated films of the year. Many are excited to know how the adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s popular MMORPG performs in the box office. A new international trailer has been released for the movie.Advertisement
The one-and-a-half minute clip takes scenes from those released domestically by Legendary Pictures and added Japanese narration along with Japanese subtitles.
The short preview is pulling no punches in showing the global audience the dark forces that will engulf the film’s protagonists and the world of Azeroth itself. It shows the characters’ emotions as they are forced to choose sides even if it means betraying their own kind.
Although the new trailer offers no new scenes, the overall editing gives it a more serious tone. It shows the desperation between the factions involved: the orcs who want to find a new home and the humans who wish to preserve their own.
The battle scenes are grittier, showing the inevitable chaos that happens when armies clash. One of the most noticeable aspects of the trailer is its emphasis on the film’s use of CGI to display the grandeur of Azeroth and Draenor. From scenic forests and cities to the imposing cliffs and mountains, the film captures the world of both humans and orcs in the most epic way possible.
According to Screen Rant, Warcraft seems to be maintaining the grand scope of Blizzard’s game both in story and depictions of the characters and events. It is likely that Azeroth will be another venue for film fans and gamers alike.
By the looks of the post-production, everything is going smoothly leading up to the release. Although it is still unknown how well the film will perform in the box office come June this year.
Depending on the success of the movie, this year will possibly decide how another film adaptation of a popular game franchise might fare. Remember: 20th Century Fox’s “Assassin’s Creed” will be released this December following Universal Studios’ “Warcraft” on June 10, 2016.
