The delivery, which happened in Spain on August 5, not only shocked the doctors but millions worldwide. The child’s mother was also surprised to see her child inside the bubble moments after the baby’s twin was delivered normally.
According to the Daily Mail, the video shows the newborn curled up inside the fluid filled sac stretched around its body. Occasional movements from the youngster can be clearly seen from the clear membrane of the amniotic sac.
The baby was able to survive being born inside without access to air due to the umbilical cord still being attached. The blue colored umbilical cord is clearly visible in the video supplying the newborn with much needed oxygen.
According to the Express, a normal delivery usually sees the sac being broken due to the stress of delivery. This breaking and spilling of the amniotic fluid is what is described as the “water breaking.”
Nurses and doctors gathered at the table to catch a glimpse of this once in a lifetime birth. And in less than a day after the video was uploaded, the birth of this miracle baby already garnered over 6.8 million views.
The doctor let the youngster out of its home for 9 months by cutting a small hole in the sac. The baby spilled out along with the amniotic fluid ready to face its new home along its twin.
Interestingly this was not the only birth of this type than happened in Spain this year. Another baby was filmed being born inside its amniotic sac and has since garnered 26 million views on social media.
While the term miracle baby might seem to be an over exaggeration, it is still an amazing sight. To witness the miracle of childbirth within such circumstances is truly once in a lifetime.
